Consultant OHP Physician Occupational Health Durham Permanent Jul 24, 2026 Consultant Occupational Health Physician (MFOM/FFOM) Location: Durham Area, UK Contract: Consultant / Contractor Commitment: 3 days per week Role Overview ExamWorks UK is seeking an experienced Consultant Occupational Health Physician to provide senior clinical leadership, governance, and strategic direction across its UK Occupational Health service. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified Occupational Health professional to influence clinical standards, support complex case management, and drive best practice across a multidisciplinary team. Key Requirements

• GMC-registered Medical Practitioner
• Accredited qualification in Occupational Health
• MFOM or FFOM qualification
• Significant experience in a senior or consultant-level Occupational Health role
• Strong background in clinical governance, audits, and quality assurance
• Experience managing complex and sensitive Occupational Health cases
• Proven ability to mentor and support Occupational Health clinicians
• Experience with Ill Health Retirement assessments and acting as an Independent Registered Medical Practitioner (IRMP)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior clinical leadership and oversight across the Occupational Health service
• Ensure consistency and quality of medical advice through audits and quality reviews
• Support the onboarding and validation of Occupational Health clinicians
• Manage complex and potentially litigious cases
• Provide expert guidance on Occupational Health legislation, HSE guidance, and medical standards
• Support Ill Health Retirement assessments and pension-related medical decisions
• Deliver clinical consultations via telephone, video, and face-to-face appointments as required
• Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic and operational objectives
