The appointed individual will join the obstetric consultant on-call team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care for women with complex pregnancies. The post holder will be expected to act as obstetric advisor to our labour ward, working closely with lead midwives and other relevant stakeholders, as well as facilitating the engagement of the wider professional team. Delivering skills and drills training will also be part of this role.

The appointee will also have dedicated time to be lead obstetrician for operative delivery, which will include administrative support for coordinating the programme of care for women delivered by elective caesarean section.
