Full Job Description

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our services, we are actively seeking experienced Consultants to join our team in Birmingham. Who We're Looking For We are seeking GMC-registered Consultants who:

  • Have been on the GMC Specialist Register for a minimum of 12 months
  • Are available to work weekends
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical expertise and a commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Main duties of the job 16 patients per day. 30 minutes per appointment EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies) including standard, extended, and specialist investigations. Standard turnaround time for reports: within 7 working days (routine); expedited reporting for urgent cases (within 24 hours)., Working Days: Saturdays and Sundays Clinic Hours: 09:00 17:30 (including a 30-minute lunch break) Session Details:
  • Routine patients: 30-minute appointments
  • MND (Motor Neurone Disease) complex patients: 60-minute appointments
  • Admin time is built into patient appointment slots
  • New GP referrals
  • Follow-up appointments are very rare; however, consultants would be expected to see any follow-up patients if required

    GMC registered on the specialist register
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
