An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences - Salford Royal Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) - for a Consultant Neurologist. The post will contribute to the provision of a high quality tertiary Neurology service to the Greater Manchester conurbation.
Primarily based at Salford Royal Hospital, with activity at other sites within GM., The post is a new post based at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences at Salford Care Organisation. This is a mixed job role with sessions within the Acute Medical Department in Salford, supporting acute unselected take in the Emergency Assessment Unit.
The post will provide neurological services in both Salford and a peripheral hospital in Greater Manchester which follows a hub and spoke model. The department has a wide range of subspecialist services, and applicants with the training to provide a subspecialist service are encouraged to discuss this with the clinical director. The successful candidate will join a large team of 50 Consultant Neurologists at Salford Care Organisation who provide outpatient and inpatient liaison services across Greater Manchester, covering as population of 3.2 million. The teams are well supported by middle grade and junior medical tiers, as well as Specialist Nurse teams across the range of Neurological sub-specialties.
