Consultant Liaison & Renal Psychiatrist

This post is a full-time 1.0 wte substantive consultant post within the Adult Mental Health Liaison Psychiatry service based at The Royal London Hospital (RLH). The post holder will work between the main adult liaison team and provide input to the renal services at the Royal London and across services sites within North East London. 5 PA's will be working within the established liaison team, and 5 PA's will be for work within the Renal arm for the service. There may be opportunities to contribute to clinical cover at the Bart's site., The 1.0 Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) job plan will be developed to meet the needs of the service and is envisaged to include 7.5 PAs for direct clinical care (DCC) and 2.5 PAs for supporting programmed activities (SPA). The main duties of the post consist of providing consultant input to the Adults Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT), to the wards, and to the Renal department as described above. This would include assessing patients, devising management plans and providing clinical leadership. The post holder will also provide cross-cover to the other Consultants in the team.
