Full Job Description
- Lead significant workstreams and client engagements across technology strategy and transformation.
- Work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand their priorities, challenges and ambitions, and translate these into clear deliverables and practical action.
- Support growth in priority markets including rail transformation, city-region and place-based transformation, transport technology, education and skills, and energy transition and sustainability.
- Develop technology and transformation strategies, target operating models, roadmaps, business cases and mobilisation plans.
- Lead discovery, diagnostic and design work, bringing together stakeholder insight, operational context, data and technology considerations.
- Help clients shape how digital, enterprise technology, data and AI can improve performance, service outcomes and delivery capability.
- Bridge strategy and delivery by ensuring solutions are grounded, actionable and capable of implementation in complex environments.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality outputs, strong delivery discipline and a positive team environment.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and contribute to account growth through strong delivery, insight and identification of further opportunities.
- Support proposition development, bids and thought leadership activity across the sector.
- Coach junior colleagues and help develop capability across the wider team.
We are specifically looking for candidates with strong strategic, commercial and delivery focused experience, who can articulate the outcomes and value of their work, and have working experience in some or all of the following: - Proven experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, business transformation, operating model design or a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering complex work.
- Experience leading workstreams or projects within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence and challenge constructively.
- The ability to move between strategy, design and delivery, from problem framing and option development through to mobilisation and implementation support.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to connect organisation, process, technology, data, governance and people into a coherent transformation approach.
- Experience developing target operating models, roadmaps, business cases, transformation plans or service improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of the role that enterprise platforms, digital architecture, data and AI can play in improving organisational performance and service outcomes.
- Experience working in or with one or more of the following is desirable: rail, transport, infrastructure, local or regional government, wider public services, education and skills, energy transition or sustainability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and develop clear, practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to develop clear storylines and communicate with impact.
- Strong facilitation skills, including workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions.
- Experience managing teams and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
- Experience contributing to proposals, bids or go-to-market activity is desirable.
- Experience of working within the Public Sector or a similarly complex, regulated or politically aware environment is desirable.
