Experteer Overview As a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine, you will lead SEM clinical practice within the MSK and Pain service. You will shape integrated musculoskeletal care across the ICS, delivering expert assessment and innovative care models. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and reduce unwarranted variation. You will drive education, service development, and partnerships to support a high-quality, patient-centred care culture. Pay / Benefits

• Provide expert assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions Lead clinical governance, service development and quality improvement Utilise diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and image-guided interventions Offer clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, physiotherapists and SEM registrars Develop and deliver education programmes for the multidisciplinary workforce Collaborate with primary care, orthopaedics, rheumatology and pain services to develop integrated care pathways Support innovation, research and evaluation projects to benefit patients and the wider system Foster partnerships across the healthcare community to improve patient pathways and outcomes Tasks Advanced expertise in assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions Expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and clinical decision-making Experience in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventions Formal musculoskeletal ultrasound accreditation (e.g., Royal College of Radiologists, CASE-accredited or equivalent) Excellent clinical reasoning and ability to manage complex diagnostics Passion for clinical education, mentorship and workforce development Commitment to service innovation, quality improvement and evidence-based practice Excellent communication, leadership and collaborative working skills Key requirements up to 30 days annual leave pension contribution reimbursement of medical indemnity fees Employee Assistance Programme salary sacrifice schemes professional development time (5% pro rata)
