We are seeking an inspiring and forward-thinkingClinical Lead for Occupational Health Servicesto join our dynamic and evolving team. This is an exciting senior leadership position offering the opportunity to shape, develop, and transform Occupational Health services at a pivotal time of change. Working within a highly skilled and supportivemulti-disciplinary teamcomprising Specialist Occupational Health Nurses, a Mental Health Practitioner, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, and other healthcare professionals, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership to drive excellence in service delivery while advancing a preventative, person-centred approach to employee health and wellbeing. This is a unique opportunity to join a service that has recently participated in theVanguard Programme, supporting innovative approaches to keeping people healthy, engaged, and in work. As we continue our journey towards a preventative model of care, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of Occupational Health across the organisation. In this influential role, you will:

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership across the Occupational Health Service.
  • Enhance, develop, and continuously improve Occupational Health provision in line with best practice, organisational priorities, and workforce needs.
  • Lead the ongoing transformation towards a preventative model focused on promoting health, reducing risk, and supporting long-term workforce wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the effective delivery and management of high-quality Occupational Health services.
  • Promote the highest clinical standards in Occupational Health practice and ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately.
  • Actively contribute to the development of strategic and operational business plans, ensuring Occupational Health is recognised as a positive and influential partner within the organisation.
  • Lead and strengthen a comprehensive health surveillance programme that safeguards staff health and meets statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support initiatives that improve staff retention, attendance, wellbeing, and workplace performance.
  • Participate in teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision activities, supporting the growth and development of the Occupational Health workforce.
  • Actively contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management, and audit programmes.
  • Lead and participate in audits that measure service effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and support service expansion and innovation.
  • Champion integrated, employee-centred care that focuses on prevention, early intervention, and positive health outcomes., As Clinical Lead, you will be instrumental in promoting the success and continued development of the Occupational Health Service, ensuring that staff and clients receive an outstanding service built upon the principles of clinical governance, innovation, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
  • You will provide visible clinical leadership, acting as a senior expert, educator, advisor, advocate, and role model for the wider team. You will inspire and empower colleagues to deliver high-quality, integrated care while fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional development. Working in partnership with the Nursing Lead, Psychologist, Specialist Occupational Health Nurses, and wider stakeholders, you will ensure the effective leadership, management, and delivery of a modern Occupational Health service that responds proactively to organisational needs and supports the health and wellbeing of employees throughout their working lives.
