In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of renal medicine, including the management and care of chronic haemodialysis and renal transplant patients. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and service development are essential. Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.

If shortlisted, you will be required to give a 10-minute presentation on: "How would you develop a service over the next 10 years, to cater to needs of our local population?"

Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) Clinical Service Unit (CSU) is based entirely at SJUH. This CSU was formed in 2015 through the merger of two separate CSUs, bringing together all the major gastrointestinal medical, surgical and transplant specialties as well as nephrology and urology under one management team, allowing for improved cross-specialty collaborative working.
