Consultant in Emergency, General & Colorectal Surgery

We are seeking to appoint a substantive Consultant Emergency and General Surgeon(EGS) with a specialist interest in benign coloproctology and abdominal wallreconstruction to join our team at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust. The individualshould have specialist skills in open and laparoscopic surgery in both the elective andemergency setting. They should also have JAG accreditation in lower GI endoscopy. Thepreferred elective sub-specialty interest is in benign coloproctology and abdominal wallhernia, including abdominal wall reconstruction, though the role will principally involveemergency and general surgery, within which the successful applicant will be expected totake on the role of lead in general and emergency surgery for the soon to be introducedSurgical Assessment Unit (SAU)., The Royal Free Hospital is seeking an exceptional Consultant Surgeon to join our dynamic team of nine consultants, taking a leading role in Emergency General Surgery while contributing to our high-quality elective benign colorectal service.
