Full Job Description
The post-holder will undertake 10 programmed activities in office hours, 8 CAMHS PAs and 2PAs for the medical student teaching team, according to an agreed job-plan, and will participate in on call and cross cover arrangements with CAMHS Medical Colleagues in Southampton CAMHS (for the locality); with CAMHS Consultant Colleagues at Southampton General Hospital (for office hours duty covering liaison and self-harm presentations to Southampton General Hospital); and with CAMHS Consultant Colleagues in Portsmouth and Southampton Cities (for out of hours cover), To provide mental health assessment, treatment and case management both directly and through colleague consultation to referred children and young people aged 0 - 18 years and to their families, according to criteria agreed with local commissioners. T, The post-holder might start with a pre-arranged caseload of approximately 20 cases with a view to developing the overall number and variation in complexity over time. The post holder will up-to 15-20 new cases in a year. There may also be cases transferred onto caseload by mutual agreement based on clinical need and complexity. The total caseload is likely to be between 60-70 cases at any given time and may vary based on type of cases i.e. lower numbers if caseload predominantly of complex and/ urgent and/ high risk cases; the preferences and agreement of the post-holder.
