Consultant Colorectal Surgeon

The post-holder shall be expected to deliver emergency general surgery and elective coloproctology. The successful candidate/candidates will also be encouraged to develop their skills in one or more of the specialist techniques/services described above and this will be actively supported.

Nottingham Colorectal Service has one of the busiest emergency and colorectal cancer workloads in the UK. It is also a major tertiary referral center for the wider East Midlands. We have established services in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, intestinal failure, anal cancer, retroperitoneal sarcoma, faecal incontinence, TEO/TEMS, SILS, locally advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer and an active Academic Department (University of Nottingham)., With over 17,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population.
