City And Hackney Specialist CAMHS is a long-established service for the assessment and treatment of young people up to the age of 18 years, their families and carers living in the borough and has an excellent reputation.

The post-holder would be expected to provide Consultant input and clinical leadership to the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and provide one day per week input to the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway.

You will join 4 (3.2 WTE) other Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists based in C&H CAMHS. In addition to the above clinical duties, clinical supervision, teaching, training and research, the service takes part in the Trust's active and extensive Healthcare Governance and Quality Improvement agenda.

The local population is very diverse with high levels of deprivation. There are good working relationships with Community CAMHS, Social Care, Education and Third Sector agencies through the C&H CAMHS Alliance.

Applications will be welcomed from candidates included in or eligible for the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining the CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry., This is an opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to provide senior clinical consultant psychiatry input and leadership to the Neurodevelopmetal Pathway in City & Hackney Specialist CAMHS. This includes assessment and treatment of Autism, ADHD and Related Disorders and is linked to the CAMHS Disability Service based at the Hackney Ark. As part of this role, there will be 2 sessions of Consultant Psychiatrist time dedicated to the Emotional and Behavioural Team to offer neurodevelopmental psychiatric consultation and intervention in this pathway.

£113,565 to £150,569 a year per annum, pro rata, including inner london HCAS
