Full Job Description

  • Manage the conference kitchen, ensuring smooth and profitable food production
  • Deliver high-quality food for weekly conferences and large multi-day events
  • Plan menus, oversee food purchasing, and manage stock control
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety across all kitchen areas
  • Support and contribute to seasonal and bespoke menu development
  • Lead the team through effective communication and performance management
  • Ensure labour and GP targets are consistently achieved

    We're looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join a busy conference and hospitality operation, delivering high-quality, seasonal, and bespoke menus for events of up to 400 guests. With weekly conferences and multiple large-scale, multi-day events throughout the year, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment., Experience in conferences or high volume kitchen
  • Be confident working independently
  • Have experience managing kitchen operations from a commercial perspective
  • Possess a solid understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations
  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Be flexible working early morning and late evenings
  • Ideally have Intermediate Food Hygiene / Level 3 certification
