An exciting opportunity to lead and develop a team in the Compliance Monitoring function in the aviation sector. Aviation regulation requires a Compliance Monitoring function, in an advancing area of growth. The role will require you to support the Quality Manager with maintenance of the established audit system to monitor compliance of the Part-145 organisation, in line with all required NAA requirements, and to ensure that an audit plan is properly implemented, maintained, and continually reviewed for improvement. The role will be critical to demonstrating to the regulator our commitment to the Compliance Monitoring function.,
- Implement Flight Deck principles such as Daily Management & Standard work and imbed within the team to monitor performance and support the business operating system
- Provide mentoring and coaching to the Compliance Monitoring team personnel
- Control and execution of the company internal and external audit programs
- Maintenance of company held Regulatory Agency/National Aviation Authority approvals and the associated Maintenance Organisation Expositions/Supplements
- Oversight of the supplier quality system, and materials purchasing and contracting support
- Oversight and maintenance of the work away from site privilege
- Procedural and regulatory oversight of the signatory process and associated qualifications and approvals of company personnel holding "Certifying Staff" authorisations
- Controllership, approval and maintenance of the site company policies and procedure structure
- Provide expert guidance with respect to business and aerospace industry standards and regulations
- Ensuring that the activities of the organisation are monitored for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the organisation, and that these activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated persons
- Deputation for the Senior Site Quality Leader when required
Effective communication skills, both written and spoken and the ability to interact at all levels - including senior business leadership, regulatory representatives, and customer / operator representatives - Computer literacy is essential to the position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or strong experience in a relevant industry or equivalent
- Strong experience in the field of Quality Management and regulatory oversight
- Current and demonstrable experience of current global aviation regulatory structure, including CAAC, JCAB, GCAA, CAAS, FAA, EASA, TCCA, UK CAA and GACA, and associated bilateral agreements as a minimum is imperative
- Ability to work together with business leadership
- Previous experience of the GE Wales quality system and a high standard of understanding of regulatory frameworks, and their maintenance
- The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate broad aviation business experience, proficiency of the quality system and underpinning regulatory standards, and an understanding of customer requirements, Experience / Training in People Leader skills.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 / 9110 QMS requirements
- Existing status as a DSQR will be a distinct advantage
- Effective communication skills, both written and spoken and the ability to interact at all levels - including senior business leadership, regulatory representatives, and customer / operator representatives.
