This is an exciting opportunity to influence business decisions, build strong regulatory relationships, and help shape the future of compliance within one of the fastest-growing names in sports entertainment and betting.The Role:As Compliance Manager - Canada, you will be responsible for ensuring DAZN Bet meets its regulatory obligations across our Canadian operations. Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, you'll
provide expert compliance guidance across day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and new product developments while balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for Canadian regulators, oversee licensing obligations, and work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to deliver DAZN Bet's global Compliance strategy. This role requires strong stakeholder management, regulatory expertise, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.What You'll Be Doing:Utilising internal systems to develop and maintain on an ongoing basis a solid knowledge base of Ontario, Alberta and wider Canadian legislation, regulations, guidance and technical documentsAdvising and supporting the business with the implementation of commercially compliant operational procedures, in line with policy and regulatory requirements, liaising with stakeholders at all levels of senioritBuilding a
strong internal network and managing key stakeholders effectively to ensure visibility of compliance and input into business activity, providing timely compliance advice and managing any risksUndertaking regular horizon scanning in relation to regulatory changes and developments, reporting on outputs and feeding directly into business planning processes and working closely with the Product, Technology and/or Operational teams to ensure the optimised implementation of requirementsActing as key point of contact internally to support new projects and initiatives impacting the Canada market and representing compliance on the relevant steering meetingsMaintaining all required regulatory policy documentation and internal guidance documents, ensuring these are reviewed at least annually and in response to any regulatory changes · Responsibility for delivering all elements of regulatory reporting to the Canada regulators · Pro-actively developing and maintaining positive and constructive
relationships with our regulators, key industry stakeholders such as trade bodies and key third-party providersWorking closely with the Compliance Monitoring Manager to deliver the quarterly monitoring programme, ensuring monitoring processes are fully cognizant of Canada regulatory requirementsFollowing up on any weaknesses identified as part of the monitoring output process and driving improvements, working in conjunction with the relevant business stakeholders as needed Working closely with the Head of Technical Compliance to support end to end handling of regulatory incidents, including assessment of the event, implementation of remedial action and managing regulator communications if required Supporting the Compliance Director by feeding into wider business governance processes, such as reporting and by presenting directly to senior stakeholders on matters of Canada compliance Keeping abreast of regulatory rulings and public statements and ensuring a documented
and effective feedback loop is in place to share learnings back into first line teams and optimising our compliance Maintaining close relationships with the marketing team and delivering on agreed processes to support the efficient execution of marketing campaigns that remain fully compliant at all timesUndertaking monthly and ad-hoc checks to ensure marketing and website content is compliantWhat You'll Bring:Experience of the working within the online gambling sector and knowledge of legislative frameworks and regulation are critical for this roleKnowledge of legislative frameworks and regulation of the online gambling industry within CanadaExperience of working within the online gambling sector, within a compliance focused roleStrong influencing skillsProactivity in identifying and addressing process weakness, driving a culture of iterative improvement across all compliance proceduresBenefitsBenefits include access to DAZN, 25 days' annual leave, private medical
