If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!, As a Compliance Lead at Sheaf Training, you will play a crucial role in procedures and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimising risks across our site. You will work to develop, implement, and continuously improve control systems, ensuring alignment with legal guidelines, internal policies, and ethical standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or address legal and policy violations.
Ensuring compliance with GDPR, Data Protection Act, and Information Security legislation.
Monitoring and improving compliance frameworks, integrating sustainability initiatives into operations.
Leading mandatory training administration and ensuring all employees meet compliance obligations, including DBS checks.
Conducting process reviews, identifying risks, and revising policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Keeping up to date with regulatory developments and ensuring best practices in compliance control.
Preparing detailed reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Training staff on new or updated policies, fostering a strong culture of compliance and integrity.
A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and operational controls.
Experience in developing, monitoring, and improving regulatory frameworks within an organisation.
Strong knowledge of data protection, ethical compliance, and sustainability standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement solutions.
Confident communicator, capable of training, advising, and working collaboratively across departments.
A proactive and process-driven mindset, committed to continuous improvement.
Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
