Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving team, responsible for supplying compliant content to Warner Bros Discovery's Nordic Linear channels as well as VOD platforms. This role involves reviewing and editing programmes to meet the requirements of multiple European regulators as well as WBD technical specifications. It requires knowledge of broadcast compliance standards, particularly NICAM and BLM, along with an understanding of regional cultural sensitivities. The Compliance Editor will also adjust parental ratings in scheduling system (WhatsOn), manage required assets in MAM (VPMS) and help resolve technical issues within the Compliance Editing team. Your Role Accountabilities...
- Edit according to WBD technical specifications using Adobe editing software
- Carefully review programs and films under European regulations (BLM, NICAM)
- Maintain QC standards of newly created materials
- Ad hoc duties e.g. managing compliance forms and edit sheets
- Edit according to WBD technical specifications using Adobe editing software
- Interpret multiple compliance regulations into programme edits
- Maintain the storyline, editorial standards and any WBD standards and practices, of all edited versions
- Provide editing support to other EMEA regulatory regions as required
Experience of editing to broadcast level - Experience and understanding of NICAM or BLM regulators
- Experience in additional European regulators a bonus
- Ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and prioritise to comply with tight business and TX critical deadlines
- Experience with WhatsOn, VPMS a plus
- Solution focused with confident decision-making skills.
- Experience of working collaboratively within a team and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the global business
- Superb attention detail, and hand in hand confidence in decision making
- Some knowledge of broadcast technologies and post-production workflows
- Experience of working in international TV and a genuine passion for and interest in WBD brands
- Additional language skills a plus
