Compliance Coordinator - Building & Fire Safety We are currently looking for a to join One Vision Housing, part of The Sovini Group. This position is a permanent opportunity As a Compliance Coordinator, you will be expected to:

  • Assist the Building and Fire Safety Officer in ensuring compliance with all relevant building and fire safety legislation across residential properties. Support resident engagement and communication on safety matters, supporting building and fire safety projects to ensure quality standards are met, and carry out planned and reactive inspections to maintain compliance.
  • Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
  • To be successful in a Compliance Coordinator role, the skills you will need:
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (will also require business user car insurance)

    Knowledge of building safety and fire safety
  • Ability to work flexibly and out of hours where necessary.
  • Willing to undertake any relevant qualifications and CPD.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to fixing and exacting timescales.
  • Developing and delivering effective building safety and fire safety policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Assisting with monitoring systems to assess and manage risk.
  • Clear understanding of risk management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

  • Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
  • A relevant Building Safety or Fire Safety Qualification.
  • Relevant building, maintenance, compliance, or facilities management qualification OR equivalent
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management OR equivalent
  • Carrying out mandatory fire door inspections
  • Knowledge of building construction and maintenance industries.

    Working on fire safety and building safety programmes and projects.
