Compassionate Personal Assistant

I am a bright, articulate 24-year-old man with Autism and OCD, and I am looking for a patient, reliable and kind Personal Assistant to support me with my day to day independence.

I am an amateur radio enthusiast and enjoy day trips to visit transmitters, different locations to scan for broadcasts and to present a weekly live show at a local community radio station.

I would like support to promote and encourage my daily independence. This will include support, supervision and prompting with personal care, food prep, attending appointments, accessing the community, and taking part in social and leisure activities.

Duties include:

- Other relevant duties as required

- Transportation

- Companionship

- Prompting, encouragement and supervision of personal care tasks

- Accessing the community, social and leisure activities e.g. Walks, trips out, Day centre

Reliable with good timekeeping

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Must be comfortable with pets

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

- Experience working in welfare with vulnerable adults is desirable

- Experience/knowledge of working with adults with ASD & OCD

- Able to speak and read English to a good standard

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
