Full Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Personal Assistant to support a 16-year-old young woman living at home with her family in Salford.
She has a diagnosis of Chromosome 7q11 deletion, epilepsy, and a visual impairment, which affect multiple areas of her development, communication, and daily living. She is a wheelchair user and attends a SEN high school where she receives 1:1 support.
She is non-verbal but engages positively through sensory play. She particularly enjoys music, vibrations, and interactive sensory activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting with moving and handling and mobility
Assisting with personal care, including bathing and dressing
Preparing meals and supporting with feeding
Supporting with social and sensory activities
Administering medication
Attending and supporting with health appointments
Working closely in partnership with parents to ensure consistent care
Experience working with children or young people with disabilities
Experience in moving and handling (preferred)
Knowledge of first aid and medication administration (preferred)
Physically able to push a wheelchair
Patient, caring, and resilient
Willing to work collaboratively with family members
Hourly Rate: £12.71
Hours Per Week: 37 hours per week
How will the hours be used: Morning and evening shifts (exact times to be discussed at interview)

Important Information
The young person may display behaviours of distress, including self-harm (e.g. head banging) and throwing objects when frustrated. The successful candidate will need to respond calmly, safely, and supportively in these situations.
