This is an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk Specialist Childrens mental health team, supporting young adults aged 4-18yr during a crucial stage of their development. Our service sits within Children, Families and Young People (CFYP) services and benefits from a well-established clinical treatment pathways designed to deliver responsive, high-quality care. As Community Team Manager , you will provide operational oversight leadership for service delivery, working closely with the SCAMHS Triumvirate with Principle Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist. You will be supported in your post by a Community Matron and an Operational Manager to ensure excellent outcomes for service users. You will also be part of a supportive wider network, linking closely with East Suffolk YAMHS teams, benefiting from strong peer support and clinical collaboration. This role offers a range of leadership, development and training opportunities to support your professional growth and career aspirations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated leader with experience of working in community mental health services with the under 18 age group. You will bring experience of working across primary and secondary care, as well as with VCSE partners, and share our commitment to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care., As Community Team Manager, you will provide professional leadership and governance to ensure the delivery of a safe, responsive and high-quality service for service users, their families and carers.,

  • Providing visible, values-based leadership and acting as a positive role model within the service
  • Managing and supporting the team to ensure staff are appropriately trained, informed and competent in their roles
  • Ensuring robust systems are in place for supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development
  • Allocating and overseeing caseloads to ensure safe practice and the effective use of resources
  • Maintaining safe staffing levels within agreed budgets
  • Monitoring team performance and contribution to Trust objectives
  • Promoting a person-centred approach that actively involves service users, families and carers in care planning and delivery
