Community Teacher - Digital Skills (Click Project)

This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge or a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation., Click Skills for Life is a Lancashire County Council funded programme designed to help adults develop the digital confidence and essential digital skills needed to participate fully in modern life. Working through trusted community venues, local partnerships and learner-centred provision, the programme supports adults to access online services, improve employability, increase independence and progress into further learning, training and employment opportunities. Please note that a digital specialism is desirable but not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and learner-centred teacher who can deliver accessible introductory and first steps digital skills programmes, helping adults build confidence, independence and practical skills while supporting progression into further learning where appropriate. The successful candidate will be based at our Lancashire Adult Learning site, but will require travel to community venues across identified districts. What You Will Be Doing:

• Teach and deliver accessible introductory and first steps digital skills programmes that build learners' confidence and independence.
• Support learners to progress from first steps digital learning into more substantial Lancashire Adult Learning provision, where appropriate.
• Plan and prepare high-quality teaching and learning that responds to learners' starting points, needs and individual goals.
• Develop learners' practical digital skills, including the confident and safe use of common devices, applications and online services.
• Monitor, review and take appropriate action to support strong learner attendance, achievement and progression.
• Accurately assess learning, mark work where appropriate and provide meaningful, timely learner feedback.
• Provide effective tutorial and pastoral support.
• Maintain comprehensive learner records and provide timely information using College systems.
• Contribute to standardisation, quality assurance, curriculum development and planning activities.
• Prepare learners for accreditation where this forms part of their programme.
