Then North Yorkshire and York Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Eating disorders home treatment team are looking for Community Support Worker/Trainees to join the team.We are looking for caring, compassionate, energetic and motivated individuals who are passionate about improving the mental health of our young people. If you would like to make a difference then we would like to hear from you!, The post holder will provide community/hospital /home visits delivering home treatment interventions such as meal supports and observed meals. In addition the postholder will be involved in goal setting and reviewing and also working alongside the Eating disorder multi disciplinary clinical team.

The role will be based in our community based eating disorders home treatment team that works across 7 days. Our team helps to support the reduction of hospital admissions by providing specialised support and home treatment to young people who have an eating disorder. The service is fast paced so the applicant will be organised and self-motivated. The individual will be able to work independently when delivering care which will be directed by clinical care team. The applicant will be calm, and have a consistent approach in challenging clinical situations., The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).

The successful candidates who do not have the required qualifications will be expected to enrol on the Healthcare Assistant Framework which will include the acquisition of the level 2 Diploma Health and Social Care, level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent and achievement of competencies. You will have a maximum of 2 years to complete this.
