Full Job Description

In this role, you will work directly with families to support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of children from pregnancy to age five. You'll play a vital part in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and contributing to the Children's Centre statutory framework.
On a typical day, you might:
- Plan and deliver evidence-based universal and targeted services for children and families
- Complete home visits and group sessions focusing on early intervention and prevention
- Support parents to build strong bonds with their children and develop confidence in their parenting role
- Work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and contribute to assessments and meetings
- Mentor students and support the development of other practitioners
- Maintain high professional standards in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and clinical governance requirements

- Registration as a Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse
- Experience of working directly with children, young people, and families
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, national guidance, and best practice
- Confidence working with families experiencing complex needs or early signs of difficulty
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
- Experience of multi-agency working and collaborative practice
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
