Full Job Description

Adult community nursing provides opportunities to have a much more 'hands on' role within a patient's recovery, building a therapeutic relationship with them. Successful candidates will bring their positive, can-do approach to care and we welcome individuals with ideas and a willingness to be involved in the innovation that is the integration of Health and Social care across the region. Our commitment to you

  • A supportive leadership team who will work hard to make sure you have what you need to perform at your best
  • Career development/training options
  • Community specific training support from dedicated practice based educators with specialist training such as end of life care.
  • Support for your health and wellbeing.
  • Newly Qualified nurses will be supported with both a corporate preceptorship and thorough local induction

The Oldham community District Nursing teams work across the 5 locations in Oldham. We are not just looking for 'staff' or someone to fill the numbers; we are looking for new team members who wants to use both their excellent clinical skills and caring personality to make a BIG difference in this challenging yet rewarding setting.
  • Welcoming you into our community As an autonomous registrant working across the Oldham community you will be a confident nurse professional with the ability to make swift, well considered decisions when needed. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals, who work well under pressure. A sense of ownership for your patients, a 'can do' attitude and determination to deliver the best patient care in a variety of home environments is essential in a service that is all about enabling the patient. Our service is provided with weekends being distributed across the team, therefore weekend working will be a part of the role. You must have the ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives. As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we're always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire - to join our team. In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
