Community Safety Officer FTC

The successful candidate will develop, coordinate and lead on key projects, work in partnership with police and key agencies to deliver community safety priorities, implement crime reducing community interventions, and respond to crime and disorder related issues and incidents. They will also be responsible for the management of ASB Case Reviews., The team comprises 2 x Community Safety Officers, reporting to a Community Safety Team Leader.
The team works closely with the Community Warden Team and the CCTV Team, and with police and other key community safety partner organisations.

Degree/equivalent qualification or 5 years' relevant experience of crime reduction or community safety.
Experience of liaising with elected members and committees, industry equivalent
Experience of successful partnership working resulting in positive outcomes for customers.
Knowledge of and experience in the application of ASB tools and powers
Ability to adapt to new areas of work and rapidly gain knowledge and understanding of new subject areas or system
Ability to understand and interpret complex legislation.
A detailed and up to date working knowledge relevant to the specialism area and excellent core regulatory investigatory skills.
Experience of identifying and implementing income generating/funding opportunities.

The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, hybrid and office working is also available.

This person will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the community safety agenda, both nationally and at a local level, and will be committed to making Warwick District a safe place to live, work and visit.
