Community Safety Officer

At Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS), our vision is to make Berkshire safer. We are committed to protecting and supporting our communities through prevention, protection and response activities. We are looking for a motivated and community-focused individual to join our Prevention Team as a Community Safety Officer.

The role involves engaging with a wide range of individuals, families and partner organisations to identify and address fire and wider community safety risks. You will undertake Safe and Well Visits, deliver tailored safety advice, support vulnerable residents and contribute to community safety initiatives across Berkshire.

This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference to people's lives by helping them remain safe and independent within their communities.

We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual who is passionate about public safety and supporting local communities. You will enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, have a customer-focused approach and be committed to delivering excellent outcomes.

Specifically, we are seeking individuals who can build positive relationships with members of the public, internal colleagues and external partner organisations. You will be able to work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.

If you are passionate about making a difference in your community and helping people stay safe, we would love to hear from you.
