Full Job Description

As the UK's leading Social Enterprise, we move lives forward every day by building, managing and supporting thriving Communities. From new homes, social housing and student accommodation to leisure, education and Community initiatives, our work makes a positive difference to millions of People across the UK. And that takes People who care about doing the right thing. People who are ambitious, ready to grow and motivated to make a difference through the work they do.

We're looking for Colleagues who bring energy, curiosity and ownership. People who enjoy being challenged, support those around them and want to keep raising the bar. Because when we perform at our best, we create more opportunities to invest in our Customers, our Communities and each other.

Experience matters, but it's only part of the story. If you share our values and want to build a career where your work has real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

More about your role

As a Community Safety Manager, you'll play a key role in helping to create safe, sustainable communities by tackling anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and community safety concerns. You'll manage a varied caseload, taking a proactive and proportionate approach to resolving issues, ranging from early intervention and restorative solutions through to legal enforcement action where necessary.

Working closely with customers, colleagues and external agencies, you'll investigate complex cases, gather evidence, prepare legal documentation and represent the business in court proceedings where required. You'll provide expert guidance to colleagues on tenancy enforcement matters, supporting them to identify and resolve breaches of tenancy agreements effectively.

You'll build strong partnerships with organisations including social services, mental health teams, the police and specialist support services to achieve the best outcomes for customers and communities. You'll also support customers experiencing domestic abuse, helping them access the specialist support they need, while leading prevention initiatives and projects designed to reduce anti-social behaviour and promote positive neighbourhoods.

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience managing anti-social behaviour, community safety or tenancy enforcement cases.
  • Proven experience preparing and managing legal enforcement action, including gathering evidence, drafting notices and preparing witness statements and attending court cases.
  • Experience investigating tenancy breaches, harassment or nuisance cases and delivering appropriate case resolutions.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel within your allocated area.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant housing and tenancy legislation to casework and enforcement activity.

Desirable Criteria

  • An understanding of the Crime and Policing Act 2026 and how it differs from, and builds upon, the 2014 legislation.

More about you

You'll be an experienced housing professional with a passion for creating safe communities and resolving complex issues. Confident managing challenging situations, you'll be comfortable making difficult decisions, balancing customer needs with effective tenancy enforcement and delivering positive outcomes for both customers and communities.

You'll have a strong understanding of anti-social behaviour and tenancy management processes, alongside experience working with partner agencies to support vulnerable customers and address complex needs. Knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding practices and domestic abuse support would be beneficial. You'll also be comfortable preparing detailed reports, witness statements and legal documentation, with strong IT skills and the confidence to represent the business professionally in legal proceedings.
