Full Job Description

As a community Phlebotomist youll be expected to perform phlebotomy duties as directed by the GP and other Community Services, be able to give appropriate advice to patients undergoing blood tests and maintain clear, contemporaneous records. At all times youll care for the patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.

You will be expected to have previous experience in phlebotomy and have completed a, structured theoretical and practical assessment on,

  • To deal with patients, who are having blood samples taken in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To report any problems to the Team Leader or GP for advice or remedial action.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • To maintain accuracy of patient identification on blood bottles.
