Community Occupational Therapist - Tissue Viability and Skin Integrity

We are excited to offer four newly created Band 6 Occupational Therapist opportunities within our developing Tissue Viability and Leg Ulcer Service, with posts available in Norwich, North, South and West Norfolk.

This is a unique opportunity to join a new specialist service focused on improving outcomes for patients with, or at risk of, skin integrity and tissue viability issues. Working closely with Community Nursing and Therapy teams, you will provide specialist assessment and interventions that support individuals to remain independent in their own homes and communities.

Whilst line managed within the Tissue Viability Team, you will work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, contributing your occupational therapy expertise to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

As one of the first Occupational Therapists in this service, you will have a rare opportunity to help shape and develop the role, influence service delivery, and contribute to new ways of working. You will be supported by strong clinical leadership and have access to specialist training and development opportunities to grow your knowledge, skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

To contribute in the delivery of high standards of health care to patients within their own homes, care homes, the travelling community and in clinics, by providing proactive, holistic case management.

To provide specialist assessment and intervention for patients with or at high risk of skin integrity and tissue viability issues.

To be part of a wider integrated team, providing high quality evidence based care to patients.

You will also play an important role in developing multidisciplinary competencies through education, training and collaborative working across Tissue Viability, Community Nursing and Therapy Services.
