Full Job Description
- To set and maintain standards of care and deploy, co-ordinate and supervise the nursing team and learners as required.
- As a Deputy Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients within residential care settings, providing clinical leadership and supporting the day to day management of the team
- You will line manage and support Band 5, 4, and 3 staff, helping to develop confident, autonomous practitioners whilst ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- To provide leadership and management to a team of community nurses and other staff covering the four localities across Herts Valleys.
- To be responsible for the team's assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised nursing care to patients living in a residential home. The service is provided seven days per week 8pm-8am.
- Tobe responsible for the team's maintenance of patient and other records.
- Toparticipate in the long term management of patients within the locality.
- To have continued responsibility for a defined caseload.
This role is ideal for an experienced community nurse looking to develop their leadership skills within a supportive and forward thinking team. The post holder will be required to work across the locality in response to service needs, including participation in a 1 in 4 weekend rota. As travel between care homes and community settings is required, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
