Community Midwifery and Continuity of Carer Matron Band 8A

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and innovative senior midwifery leader to join our Maternity Leadership Team as the Community and Continuity of Carer Maternity Matron. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving quality improvement, patient safety, clinical outcomes, governance and assurance across maternity services., The post holder will provide visible professional leadership and expert guidance to support the delivery of safe, effective and personalised maternity care. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clinical leaders and corporate colleagues, the Community and Continuity of Carer Matron will lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of community services, ensuring compliance with national standards, regulatory requirements and local objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Community and Continuity of Carer services within Lincolnshire. They will work collaboratively with women, families and partner organisations to promote a culture of openness, learning and excellence in maternity care.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving University city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.

The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
