About The Role
Help us to extend our reach! We are here for anyone affected by dementia and are keen to reach people in all communities, including those who may be more at risk of isolation through language, accessibility needs, identity or background. As a Community Link Volunteer, you'll play an important role in helping us build and strengthen relationships within local communities across West Cornwall and the surrounding area. By attending local events, talking to community groups and raising awareness of dementia and the services we have available, you'll help us reach more people affected by dementia and signpost them to access our services. You'll also help us identify and connect with people affected by dementia who would like to share their experiences and dementia story, both with us and within their wider community. This will help us strengthen our links and understanding within local communities.
This role may require traveling independently to event or meeting locations across the area.

About You
About Alzheimer's Society
Dementia is the UK's biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. At Alzheimer's Society, we're the UK's leading dementia charity and the only one to tackle all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with dementia today and in the future. We give vital support to people facing the most frightening times of their lives, while also funding groundbreaking research and campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be. Together with our supporters, we're working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. Our values make sure that our focus is clear for the challenges and opportunities ahead and remind us of what we all stand for.
