Full Job Description

As a Community Integration Officer, you will be proactively engaging with local Community Groups, Local Authorities, Job Centres and the NHS to source and increase the number of eligible participants that will form part of our IPS delivery in West Yorkshire.

As a Community Integration Officer, you will build and maintain strong relationships with Job centre Plus, NHS services, local authorities and community organisations to increase referrals and engagement with Shaw Trust's IPS service across West Yorkshire. Working predominantly within the community, you will promote our services, support a seamless referral process and work closely with operational teams to maximise participant starts, attendance and re-engagement. This role requires regular travel across the contract area and the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders through both face-to-face and digital channels.

You'll work closely with:

+ Health professionals, community groups and service providers to establish new referral routes and increase participant engagement.
+ Employers, to create job opportunities
+ Participants who are no longer engaging to try and re-engage them in the programme

This is a performance-focused role, with clear targets around referrals, job starts, and sustained employment. But more than that, it's about changing lives.

We welcome applicants from local residents in the areas of delivery.

Areas of Delivery

Please indicate in your supporting statement whether you are interested in working in:

+ Leeds
+ Bradford
+ Wakefield
+ Kirklees

This is a community-based role. You'll work peripatetically across your chosen area(s), supporting clients where they are.

Recruitment Timeline

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre on:

14th or 15th October - Leeds

20th or 21st October - Huddersfield

Should we be successful in winning this contract, Community Integration Officer will start induction in November.

What You'll Do

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with Jobcentre Plus, NHS services, local authorities, community organisations and other referral partners.
+ Promote the IPS service through presentations, networking events and targeted community engagement activities.
+ Increase awareness of the service and generate referrals by engaging with local stakeholders and underrepresented communities.
+ Support individuals to access the right services by assessing eligibility and signposting to appropriate provision where required.
+ Use data, stakeholder feedback and success stories to drive engagement, improve performance and maximise programme starts.

+ A passion for helping people with health conditions and other barriers move closer to employment and independence.
+ Experience of building effective partnerships and engaging with a range of external stakeholders.
+ Confidence presenting information, promoting services and representing an organisation professionally.
+ Strong organisational, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
+ Knowledge of employment support, welfare-to-work, health services or community-based provision, with an understanding of the barriers people may face.
