Full Job Description
Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, is looking for a Community & Events Fundraiser to help grow our national community and events fundraising programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to support inspiring individuals, groups and organisations as they raise vital funds for limbless and injured veterans and their families. Working closely with the Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will help deliver a varied portfolio of fundraising activities, from third-party challenge events to supporter-led community fundraising. You will provide excellent stewardship, build positive relationships with supporters and volunteers, and help ensure every fundraiser has a brilliant experience with Blesma. We are looking for someone with experience in community or events fundraising, or a strong background in a customer-facing role, who is confident managing multiple tasks, working to deadlines and using CRM or database systems. You will be organised, personable and comfortable representing Blesma at events, including occasional evenings and weekends. If you are passionate about supporter engagement, enjoy working as part of a collaborative fundraising team and want to make a real difference to the lives of injured veterans, we would love to hear from you.
- Proven experience in achieving/exceeding targets in the not-for-profit or commercial sectors.
- Experience of working in a customer/supporter-focused environment.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and fundraising databases (Blesma uses Raisers Edge).
- Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills.
- A passion for Blesma's cause and work.
- A team player with a confident manner; a professional, flexible, positive person.
Why Join Us? At Blesma, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can make a real impact. We provide opportunities for professional growth and development, and you will be part of a team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our veterans and their families. How to Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a difference, we would love to hear from you! Please send your CV and a cover letter detailing why you'd be an ideal candidate for the role and how your skills and experience match those outlined in the Person Specification. If you're not sure you meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply - you might be just the person we're looking for.
