Full Job Description

The successful candidate will lead and support outdoor community projects aimed at enhancing health, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering practical sessions at our Bilston nature reserves, focusing on activities for volunteers, conservation, and greenspace maintenance. The role also encompasses developing the nature reserve into a vibrant hub for local engagement, health promotion, and environmental improvement.,

  • To plan and deliver practical environmental community sessions at a Community Garden for adults, families and young people.
  • To lead the development of the community garden into a usable space for food growing, community activities, health promotion, environmental improvements and a place where the community can come together.
  • To build and maintain partnerships with local organisations, community groups, corporate partners and statutory bodies to ensure that the garden is fulfilling the needs of the local community.
  • Supervise volunteers as and when necessary.

    A positive and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a community-based environment.
  • Practical skills to manage and deliver projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and support volunteers.
  • Ability to work flexibly and learn new skills as you take on new challenges.
  • A commitment to improving local spaces and supporting community resilience.
  • A full driving licence is essential and access to own vehicle for the role which entails travel to various sites around the region.
