Community Centre Manager

Please note this is a fixed term position for 2 years Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per weekInterview Date: 12th or 13th October 2026One of the UK's most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for a Community Centre Manager to join the team overseeing our Walthamstow & Leytonstone churches. You will support the church leaders with operational expertise and help to embed Salvation Army values in all aspects of Church community life, enabling both churches to flourish. Current activities include pre-school groups, games club, community living room, employment plus, well-being small groups and on-site charity shop.Key responsibilities:Be an active and visible leader within both the church and the wider community, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders to better meet the needs of the communityBe responsible for ensuring that each individual element of the church's programmes has clearly defined objectives and that regular
monitoring and review procedures are implemented to monitor progress.Be responsible for ensuring that the church buildings are managed, maintained and equipped to meet both the needs of the mission programme and all relevant health and safety requirements Be accountable for the effective management of the Church finances and for all people related activities of your direct reports including recruitment, performance management, and learning and developmentThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Proven experience of successfully managing a complex and busy setting serving the needs of the communityExperience of successfully integrating and delivering multiple and diverse programmes to meet operational objectivesThe ability to organise your own workload to meet objectives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for
