We are looking for a Community Builder to join our community connections service delivering across Derbyshire called, Together Derbyshire. You will be working specifically in High Peak & Derbyshire Dales, with the primary aim of reducing loneliness and social isolation by supporting residents to build stronger, more connected communities through an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach.
Working across local communities, you will identify and build on community strengths, support resident-led groups and activities, and develop partnerships that create opportunities for people to connect and thrive. You will facilitate Community Voice Networks, engage with underrepresented communities and empower local people to shape services and solutions that matter to them.
The role will play a key part in strengthening community resilience, increasing social participation and creating sustainable, community-led opportunities that improve health and wellbeing across Derbyshire., To maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in undertaking all areas of responsibilities
Deliver an individualised community-based approach to strengthen communities and reduce loneliness and social isolation
Identify community strengths, assets and opportunities, supporting residents to develop and lead local activities and initiatives to strengthen communities and reduce loneliness and social isolation
Build and maintain strong partnerships with voluntary, community, faith and statutory organisations to increase community participation
Facilitate Community Voice Forums and engagement activities, ensuring local people have opportunities to influence services and support available in their area
