Communicator

This is a maternity cover for the current academic year.

As a Communicator, you'll be key in supporting a student experience that's accessible. Your work will help ensure our learners can understand their pathways clearly-towards higher education and into successful careers-supported by strong connections with the local community, businesses and regional employers.

What you'll be doing
This would be an ideal opportunity to join a successful and established learning support department as a Communicator, in the classroom. Within this role you would have the chance to work with experienced, innovative and inspiring teachers and learning support staff in a range of curriculum areas; giving you an insight into the rewarding career of working with young people at a critical time in their career focused development. In the role you can make a key difference to the outcomes of young people with learning difficulties and disabilities., You'll be supported by a team who cares about learner outcomes and the learner experience. You'll have opportunities to contribute ideas, improve processes and strengthen how messages are shared across campus and beyond.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Minimum of Level 2 BSL qualification
An empathetic approach and ability to be flexible
Be able to support learners from 16-24 from foundation to adult students.
Previous experience working in education would be an advantage but not essential
