Are you a creative communicator with a passion for public service? Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is looking for a versatile Communications Support Officer to join our Central Support team for a 10 month maternity cover, or as a secondment opportunity.,

  • Content Creation: Design and deliver compelling written, visual, and video content for digital platforms (social media, web) and traditional print media.
  • Campaign Management: Proactively support the implementation of LFR's Communications and Engagement Strategy in line with local and national campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships across service areas and partner agencies, representing LFR at meetings and events.
  • Digital Presence: Support the management and delivery of social media channels (including X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and ensure the LFR intranet remains accurate and up to date.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor communication metrics and provide reports to the Communications Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of our reach., This is a unique chance to contribute to a high-performing emergency service. You will have the opportunity to join innovative projects, advise on best practices, and gain experience in public sector communications. Full training for the role will be provided.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience in communications, marketing, or a related qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Digital Fluency: Practical experience managing various social media platforms and web-based communications.
  • Communication Flair: Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to tailor messages for a range of audiences, including vulnerable groups.
  • Flexibility: While primarily office-based, there will be scope for working from home after a settling in period., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
