The Institute for Ethics in AI, a world-leading centre addressing the ethical challenges and opportunities created by rapidly advancing AI technology, is seeking two Communications Officers to support the Communications and Liaison Manager to deliver the Institute's communications activities across external and internal channels. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to join a dynamic team, creating engaging digital and multimedia content to communicate the Institute's research, events and activities to audiences in Oxford and around the world. This post is fixed-term until 30 September 2029.
The two Communications Officer roles will each have a primary area of focus while working collaboratively across the Institute's full portfolio of activities.
One role will be primarily aligned to institutional communications and engagement, supporting initiatives such as newsletters, events, stakeholder engagement and educational communications. The other role will focus primarily on digital, external communications and media engagement, helping to raise the Institute's profile through strategic communications, media relations and external partnerships.
While each role has a distinct area of responsibility, both Communications Officers will work closely together in a collaborative and interdisciplinary way, providing flexible communications support across the Institute. Working alongside and in support of the Communications and Liaison Manager, they will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, impactful communications that advance the Institute's strategic objectives.
Based at the Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, you may be able to agree a regular pattern of remote working with your line manager.

There will be a need for flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving area of public and academic interest.
