Full Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Communications Assistant to support the delivery of accurate, timely and engaging communications. As a communications assistant you will provide communications support for a number of work areas and deliver a broad range of communications activity for NHS Employers. Working as part of a Level 4 apprenticeship programme, you'll work as part of a team to ensure that we are engaging and communicating effectively with our members and partners, promoting our work and key messages. Your role will include drafting content for our communications channels, project-managing product launches, campaigns, resources and events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, simplifying complex messages and working collaboratively to inform, influence and engage target audiences. You'll contribute to campaign planning and delivery, assist with reputation management and support messaging across channels while developing technical and professional skills on the job., As a Communications Assistant, you will:

  • Create engaging content for a range of channels, helping to promote NHS Employers' work and key messages to members, partners and stakeholders.
  • Support campaigns, events and product launches, assisting with planning, coordination and delivery to ensure successful communications outcomes.
  • Simplify complex information, turning technical or detailed content into clear, accessible and engaging messages for different audiences.
  • Develop your communications expertise through a Level 4 apprenticeship programme, gaining hands-on experience in media, digital communications, reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
