Full Job Description
Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commissioning Support Officer to join our Children and Families Commissioning Team at an exciting time of change and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting services for some of our most vulnerable children and young people. Working alongside commissioners, operational colleagues, health partners, schools and providers, you will help ensure that high-quality services are commissioned, monitored and delivered effectively. The role offers a varied workload including:
- Supporting commissioning and procurement activity across Children's Services.
- Contract monitoring and performance management.
- Analysis of service, performance and financial data.
- Supporting specialist education and social care placements.
- Working with providers and partner agencies to improve outcomes.
- Contributing to service reviews, needs assessments and commissioning strategies.
- Developing information systems and processes to support effective decision making.
We are looking for individuals who are organised, analytical and confident communicators, with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries. Experience in commissioning, contract management, procurement, children's services, education, social care or related fields would be advantageous, although we are equally keen to hear from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine commitment to improving public services. - A supportive and friendly team environment.
