Commissioning Engineer

If so, we're looking for a Skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our specialist team where they will take direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of Vital Energi's plantrooms/ solar farms and boiler rooms., This role would suit an experience commissioning engineer with mechanical, electrical, or controls systems experience. It's ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and seeing energy projects come to life, the role will involve working within a number of Plant rooms, Solar Farms, Industrial plant rooms etc..,

• Plan, manage, and carry out commissioning activities across solar farms, energy centres, and boiler houses.
• Develop detailed commissioning plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and functional testing of plant, equipment, and systems.
• Verify that all systems meet operational and performance requirements before handover.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve commissioning issues, escalating where necessary.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the commissioning process.
• Produce accurate and comprehensive commissioning records, test data, and reports.
• Support handover to operations teams, ensuring all documentation is complete and training is provided.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the commissioning department.
  
  HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience in commissioning within the energy, utilities, or renewables sectors.
• Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical safety.
• Knowledge of/experience with Renewable Energy technologies such as Heat Pumps and Solar will be highly advantageous
• Experience with PLC's
• Full UK manual driving licence
