Introduction
Seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for a passionate cook who wants the opportunity to grow. You will work alongside our Head Chef to learn all aspects of running a pub kitchen. Once you have gained sufficient experience, you will be given the opportunity to lead, organise and direct the kitchen.
About the Employer
We are a successful, traditional English pub with a team of 20 people. We serve classic pub dishes alongside pizzas made in our dedicated wood-fired oven, and we host special events, buffets, live music, and traditional Sunday roasts.
What You'll Do
- Assisting the Head Chef with daily food preparation and learning fundamental cooking techniques during busy pub services.
- Maintaining strict food hygiene standards, which includes keeping the kitchen clean and completing end-of-shift deep cleaning.
- Receiving ingredient deliveries, ensuring correct stock rotation and setting up your station ready for service.
Training Outcome
The expected career progression is to become Head Chef and lead the kitchen independently.
