Introduction

As an Apprentice Commis Chef, you will support the senior kitchen team in transforming high-quality ingredients into incredible, authentic Italian dishes. This role is fast-paced, highly creative, and offers a great opportunity for someone with limited kitchen experience to learn fundamental culinary skills.

What You'll Do

Learn how to portion, cut, slice, dip, batter, maintain holding temperature, frying, and sauté
Select cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game, or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing
Plate menu items along with appropriate garnish
Learn a wide variety of cooking techniques and methods

Training Outcome

We offer a lot of opportunities for progression within the back of house department. Once completed the apprenticeship, candidates will have regular reviews and development plans aimed at getting them ready for the next step. Usually they will see a promotion to Demi-Chef de Partie within 6 months and to Chef de Partie within a year.
