Commis Chef

Join a highly skilled brigade of nine chefs delivering exceptional fine-dining cuisine, from refined plated dishes to premium canapés and high-end hospitality events. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Your Role

• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place to the required standards.
• Assist with the preparation, assembly and presentation of premium canapés, fine-dining dishes and event food.
• Follow recipes, preparation methods and presentation standards accurately.
• Assist with high-volume production for corporate events, hospitality functions and large-scale services.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-prepared workstation throughout the day.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, labelling and correct storage of ingredients.
• Ensure ingredients, equipment and work areas are ready for service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the kitchen.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities as your skills progress.
  
  Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred, but we are open to chefs with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• A genuine interest in fine dining, premium hospitality and high-quality food.
• Good basic food preparation and knife skills.
• An understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, recipes and preparation specifications accurately.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Ability to remain organised and focused during high-volume service.
