Commis Chef

· Prepare and present high-quality dishes across a variety of culinary outlets, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.

· Support food preparation and service in The Montagu Kitchen, Events, Room Service, Colleague Restaurant, and Churchill Bar.

· Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

· Follow recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency.

· Monitor stock levels, assist with stock rotation, and help minimise food waste.

· Work collaboratively with chefs and colleagues across the culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

· Demonstrate knowledge of seasonal ingredients and contribute ideas for menu development and service improvements.

· Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are used, cleaned, and maintained correctly in line with operational standards.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated culinary professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences. Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is highly desirable, ideally within a hotel or hospitality setting. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is essential, along with a willingness to learn and develop across multiple culinary outlets.
