Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Commercial Quantity Surveyor to support domestic energy efficiency and retrofit programmes. This is a hybrid role based in Bury St Edmunds, with frequent travel to offices in Sutton and Aylesbury. The role is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £60,000-£70,000. You will oversee costs and commercial performance across delivery programmes. Working with delivery, finance, procurement and business development teams, you will produce commercial reports, manage change and variations, and identify risks and opportunities. Your analysis will also help inform future bids and pricing.,

• Produce Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and commercial reports.
• Monitor delivery costs, contractual performance and commercial risks.
• Manage change control and support variation recovery.
• Reconcile client delivery plans against work completed.
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers on costs and commercial matters.
• Use cost data, benchmarking and lessons learnt to inform future bids and delivery plans.
• Build strong working relationships across delivery, commercial and finance teams.
  
  A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least
three years' experience in quantity surveying.
• Quantity surveying experience in construction, infrastructure, housing retrofit, utilities or a similar programme-based environment.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Experience producing CVRs and commercial reports.
• Experience with subcontractor or supplier commercial management and cost benchmarking.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including advanced Excel.
• The ability to interpret commercial data and make practical recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Requirements
• RICS membership or working towards it.
• Experience in energy efficiency, retrofit, housing or public sector programmes.
• Experience working alongside central procurement teams.
• Experience supporting strategic pricing, commercial modelling or bid reviews.
